Martin Stephen Mulkerrin

Martin Stephen Mulkerrin was born on December 25, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA to James and Florence (nee Joyce) Mulkerrin. He died November 23, 2023 at his home in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Mulkerrin served in the United States Army between the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a bond manager for the Ohio Casualty Insurance Company. Martin was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. He was also a member of the St. James Gallery Choir and cantored weekly Masses at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights. Martin served on the District 25 School Board for 12 years and the Wheeling Township Board for 8 years. Martin loved to spend time with his family and was loved by all.Martin is survived by his spouse Helen (nee Zitelli) whom he married On November 5, 1960 in Pittsburgh, PA; children, Eileen Mulkerrin and Kathleen (Michael) Lawrence; grandchildren, James and Stephen Lawrence; and brother James (Rose Mary) Mulkerrin.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Ellen Best.Visitation Monday, November 27, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road., (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights and Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, 831 North Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Hts., IL 60004, from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:00 am.
