Mary Louise Broxham (nee Holmes) passed the torch of love to her beloved family on Thursday, May 17, 2012. In our mother’s words “As a family we share the special love of each other for this is life’s most important possession.” Christ’s love through Mary was passed on to her children, Gregory W. (Greta), Douglas W. (Patti), Jeffery W., Kimberly L. and Phillip W. (Susan); and her grandchildren, Eric (Renee), Nick (Krystal), Mason, Elias and Aubrie. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter; and her parents, Walter and Ruth Holmes. Surviving Mary is her brother, Warren Holmes (LaVerne); niece, Debbie; and nephew Larry. Visitation will be Monday, May 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A funeral service will be Tuesday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Easter Seals or the Army Emergency Relief Services Fund.
