Mary Anne Kiesel was born on May 31, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to Aloysius and Mary (nee Aha) Bott. She died Friday, February 16, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital, Hospice Care, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Mary Anne was a homemaker who cherished time with her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to interesting places around the world and to casinos with her children. She had fun doing crossword puzzles, and playing board games with her family and friends. She loved animals, especially her pet cats and dogs. For over 60 years, she and her “Club Girls” enjoyed getting together for dinner and conversation. Mary Anne was a long-time member of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church.
Mary Anne is survived by her children, Mary Kay (David Saine) Zink, William Kiesel, Kris (Dave Ratzer) Kiesel, and Kurt Kiesel; son-in-law, Carl Bloom; grandchildren Martin Bloom, Nicholas Bloom, Lauren Kiesel, Evan Kiesel, and Ally Kiesel, and great-grandchildren Nicholas Bloom and Ellie Bloom. She is also survived by her brother George (Cherie) Bott, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends Elaine Barrett and Elzbieta Kienko.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years William Kiesel; daughter Judith Bloom; siblings, Mary Bott, Dorothy (the late John) Gleason, Charlotte (the late Victor) Berns and her parents.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights. Prayers will be held Friday, March 2, 2018, at 11:15 am at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd. before proceeding to St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, Illinois. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery.
