Mary Sarah Kipp, known as Sallie, 83, of Arlington Heights, IL was born on December 20, 1941 to the late Henry Joseph Feeley Sr. and the late Florence (nee O’Connor) Feeley. Sallie passed away peacefully on March 04, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Sallie was the beloved mother to Anne Maloney, Jill Haggerty, and Brian (Jessica) Kipp; loving grandmother to Cade, Theo, and Ellie Reynaud, Finnian and Patrick Haggerty, Kaitlyn, Emma, and Scarlett Kipp; sister to Henry (Diane) Joseph Feeley Jr. and the late Elizabeth Jane (BJ) Feeley; and aunt to the Feeley kids and their families.
Whilst Sallie spent her early years on the East coast, her family ultimately settled in Wilmette when she was a child. She attended Barat College in Lake Forest. In 1976, Sallie and her husband moved to Houston, Texas where they raised their family. Sallie would call her Huntwick days some of the best in her life. She was surrounded with wonderful friends who became lifelong sisters.
After her children were grown, Sallie went into the bridal business where she excelled at creating amazing experiences for all of her brides. She loved fashion and had a flair for styling her clients, who almost always became friends.
After her husband passed away, Sallie moved to Vienna, Austria to be near her daughter. Moving to a different country was out of her comfort zone but proved to be an amazing adventure. She had the ability to make friends with everyone she met, so finding her community wasn’t difficult. She spent 4 years abroad and made a million memories.
Sallie spent her later years in the Chicago area, doting on her grandchildren every chance she got. Her favorite role was proud grandma to many kiddos, not just the ones listed above. If you called her Grannie, Nana or Banana, know that she adored you.
