Mary Anne O’Grady was born May 28, 1944, in Chicago to James Robert and Margaret Mary (nee Browne) McGuire. She passed away March 12, 2024, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Mary Anne was a homemaker who loved raising her kids and others. For more than 20 years, she was “My Mury Anne” to the countless children that she babysat.

She was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Arlington Heights.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to text and keep track of everyone through Facebook.

She is survived by her children Bill (Jennifer), Elizabeth (Eric), Philip (Christine), Brian (Chrissie), Margaret and Jim; proud grandma of Harrison (Katherine), Meghan, Julia, Sean, P.J., Gabi, Maeve, Margaret and Frannie; her siblings Justine (late Roger) Burke, Roger (Marianne) and Kevin (late Nadine); she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary Anne is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Philip James O’Grady, her parents as well as her brothers James (Mickey) McGuire and Alan (late Maureen) McGuire.

Visitation Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 2:00pm until 7:00pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Misericordia, 6300 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, IL 60660.
