

Mary Lou ParkerOf Elk Grove VillageMary Lou "Grem" Parker was born April 19, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. She died peacefully on August 23, 2016 at her home in Elk Grove Village after a battle with breast cancer.Mary Lou grew up on North West side of Chicago. She was a member of Parkway Stables in her youth and attended Michigan State University. Mary Lou worked for eleven years as a veterinarian assistant at Arlington Heights Animal Hospital. She retired in 2009 from Lutheran General Hospital where she worked as an instructor in Surgical Services."Mary Lou is survived by her lifelong family friends Helen Kerwin, Lynda Brown, Tanya and Regis Moore, Michael Brown, Josh Brown and Jennifer Trombatore, Glynn and Kristin Brown, Diane and Larry Frank, and her beloved "god grandchildren" Teagan, Ethan, Riley, Owen, Danielle, and Keaton.Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents Jonathan and Luella (nee Peacock) Parker, and her brother Robert Eugene Parker.Memorial visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,1520 N.
