

Mary Elizabeth Reinhardt HaagOf Arlington Heights for 61 yearsMary R. Haag was born on March 4, 1927 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to David and Rosalie (nee Schmidt) Reinhardt. She passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at her home in Arlington Heights after a 14 month battle with pancreas cancer.After graduating from Sheboygan Central High School and University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business, Mary worked in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago followed by marriage to Philip P. Haag of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and moving to Arlington Heights to raise their happy family. Mary became a founding member of the Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library and the Arlington Heights branch of AAUW, in addition to being an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Through the years, Mary loved to travel, especially with Phil to Europe and with her entire family to Naples, Florida. She also adored playing bridge with her many wonderful friends and in her later years after Phil passed away in 2005, her family, friends and neighbors were great supports for her.Mary is survived by her children, Barbara (Richard) Shell, Martha Behlow, William (Mary) Haag and Christine (Kevin) Deans; her grandchildren, Jonathan Behlow, Adam Shell, Laura Behlow and Jason Deans; her sister, Joan (the late Robert) Reichmann; her sisters-in-law, Phyllis (the late Jack) Pangborn and Marjorie (the late Robert) Kuhl; and her brother-in-law, Donald Meyer.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip Haag; her sister, Jean (the late Jack) Bell; and her sister-in-law, Marion Meyer.Visitation from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 12:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2014 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights. Interment private.In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
