

Maureen Bellagamba, nee: O"Malley, devoted wife to Herman for 63 years, born Chicago IL, passed at the age of 82 on November 18, 2014. A loving mother of Martin (Sally), MaryLynn (Ronald), Margaret (William), JoAnn (Michael), Timothy (Wendy), Maureen (friend Donna); loving grandmother of Anthony (Patrick), Phillip, Andrew (Jamie), Michael (Marianne), Corinne (Craig), Nicole (Eric), Marissa (Ryan), Kathryn, Brigette, William, Nicholas, Brian, Daniel, James, Christine, Timothy (Yuliya), Peter, and Thomas; loving great-grandmother of Calvin, Ryan, Sophia, Lillian, Delia, Eleanor and Mae; dear daughter of the late Thaddeus and the late Delia; fond sister of Kathleen (Harvey), Thaddeus Frank, William (the late Suellen) and the late Joseph (Shelia); dear daughter-in-law to the late Anthony Bellagamba and the late Elvira Nicolini; dear sister-in-law of the late Eleanor (the late Steve). She was a wonderful aunt, cousin, and for many, a great friend that will always be lovingly remembered.The oldest of five children and the matriarch of the family in the America"s, Maureen grew up in Chicago and attended St. Sebastian"s H.S. She met Herman in 1949 and they married on May 26, 1951 at St. Sylvester"s Catholic Church. Over the next 11 years they would live in South Carolina, move back to Chicago and end up in the suburb of Arlington Heights where they lived for 37 years. At the age of 33, having brought six children into the world and looking for another challenge, Maureen, encouraged and aided with the inception of Bell-Litho, Inc. She did the bookkeeping, was secretary-treasurer, as well as, served as acting member of the board for the next 45 years. At age 68, ready to retire and enjoy life, they started a new life in Henderson, NV. Maureen enjoyed a good adventure, but more so, the occasion to meet new people and socialize. She was a strong supporter of The Carmelites. She was passionate and generous to those she believed in. Her past times were knitting (afghans), playing (and winning) at Poker Slot machines, doing crossword puzzles, reading her rag magazines and, of course, traveling or shopping.Visitation Monday, November 24, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:00 am.
