Michael R. Behrens was born on October 19, 1974 in Evanston, IL to John and Kristine (nee Knoebber) Behrens. He died Monday, August 13, 2018, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Mr. Behrens, a crew scheduling supervisor, worked at United Airlines for over 21 years. He was a transportation enthusiast who enjoyed collecting scale models of trains and airplanes, railroad photography, and traveling. Mike was a member of the Milwaukee Road Historical Association and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

He is survived by his wife Julie (nee Lenza); his son Brian; his parents John & Kristine Behrens; his sister, Jennifer (Jason) Baskett, his brother Jeffrey (Caitlin) Behrens; his mother-in-law Marilyn Lenza; his brother-in-law Michael (Jamie) Lenza and sister-in-law, Jeannie Lenza and his nieces and nephews Halley Baskett, Matthew, Nicholas and Annabelle Lenza.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Gerald Lenza.

Visitation Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, IL 60004 and on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 am at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. Interment will be at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
