Michael Jacob Harjung

Michael Jacob Harjung was born on January 23, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois to Adam and Gertrude (nee Lutz) Harjung. He died Saturday, September 25, 2021, at his home.

Mike was a loving brother, son, and uncle to many. He would go on to graduate from Hersey High School. After high school, he had a successful career as a Vice President of Bulaw Welding for several years. Mike was a passionate Chicago sports fan and enjoyed the ups and downs that each season had to offer. Mike devoted his life to his family and friends. His legacy will be carried on by all those who loved him.

Michael is survived by his mother, Gertrude Harjung; his siblings, Helga Harjung, Monica (Rob) Roby, and Robert Harjung; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and his sister, Linda Twarog.

Visitation from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm, Monday, October 4, 2021, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Interment All Saints, Des Plaines, Illinois.
