Michael proudly served his country as a Combat Engineer during the Vietnam War. He later worked as an HVAC technician and retired from Raeco Engineering in Des Plaines, Illinois.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Florine Marciniak (nee Tarara); as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Bernadette and Deborah; his brothers, Robert and David; his father-in-law, Peter Tarara; and his mother-in-law, Georgeana Tarara (nee DiMaggio).

Visitation on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 9:00 AM until time of service, which will begin at 10:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Committal service immediately to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 700 N River Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
