Michael Allan McLain, age 65 passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on December 9, 1954 in Fairfield, Iowa to Cecil B. and Helen (nee Smith) McLain. He married Susie (nee DeMay) McLain in Sheffield, IL. They celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Mike was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, enjoyed blues music, and spending time with his family.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Susie McLain (nee DeMay); his children Natalie (Chris) LaPorta, Nicole (Marc) Buddin, Lucas (Cristina) McLain and Emily McLain; his grandchildren Kellen LaPorta, Leighton LaPorta, Lillian Buddin and Jack Buddin; as well as his siblings Joe (Charlotte) McLain, Tom McLain, Mary (Cliff) Crowl, Charlotte Healy, Kathy (late Tom) Simpson, Steve McLain, Connie (David) Johnson and Lori (Joseph) Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his grandchildren Audrey and Nolan LaPorta.

Memorial Mass Friday, November 6, 2020 at 10:30am at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 (capacity limits, PPE requirements and social distancing in effect).
