Nancy Patricia Sundal

She was born on May 29, 1943 in Oak Park, IL, to James and Nancy J. Ziegler. She grew up in Hillside IL with her 5 younger siblings and where she attended Nazareth Academy. After graduation she moved to Chicago IL. While living and working there she met and married her beloved Per. Together they had their son, Jon. They had many adventures there and she never could resist telling the story of how she met the King of Norway thanks to Per. They eventually moved to Schaumburg IL where she remained after Per's passing to raise Jon. She spent her final years in Algonquin, where she could be closer to her son and his family. No matter where she lived you could always be sure that when you visited she would have one of her favorite old movies on, the Notre Dame game, or any of her Chicago sports teams. Although she worked throughout her life, she will tell you the best job she ever got was being a grandma. She is survived by her son Jon (Catherine) Sundal; grandsons Max and Jon Per; sisters Mary (Tom) Bostrand and Donna (Jon) Conrad; brothers Tim (Joann) Ziegler and John (Joyce) Ziegler; her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Per; her parents James and Nancy; sister Maggie Jensen.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 4:00 pm.
