Nancy L. Vaughn was born on February 20, 1937 in Chicago to Edward and Dorothy (nee Anderson) Nelson. She died Friday, March 19, 2021 in Medina, OH

Mrs. Vaughn worked as an administrative. assistant for Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She was a active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Long Grove. Nancy enjoyed gardening, entertaining, singing in the choir, and serving Jesus. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was loved by all.

Nancy is survived by her children, Karen (Alan) Dorfmeyer, Steven Kuhn, Deborah (Gregory) Schmalfeldt, and Christy Falkosky; grandchildren, Nicole (Nick) Nelson, Elizabeth (Brian) Wolf, Heather (Wynn) Hasler, Megan (Carter) Bryan, Jonathan Kuhn, Kristin Dorfmeyer, Allison Kuhn, Erin Falkosky, Hannah Tipton, Rebecca Dorfmeyer, Grace Schmalfeldt, Nolan Falkosky and Andrew Falkoksky; 10 great grandchildren; and sister, Arlene (the late Alexander) Devience.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Vaughn; son, Mark Vaughn; and her parents.

Visitation Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd. (capacity limits, PPE requirement, and social distancing in effect), 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation Monday, March 29, 2021 9:00 am until the 10:00 am Funeral Service at Hope Lutheran Church (also with capacity limits and PPE, and social distancing), 1660 Checker Road, Long Grove, IL 60047. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
