Nicholas Stephen Tischer

Nick served in the Air Force. He retired from the sheet metal industry. He played semi-pro football, and softball into his adulthood. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing. He cheered for the Bears and White Sox, planning some vacations around out of town games

He is survived by his spouse, of 44 years, Krystyna (nee Szymanski); sons, Richard (Susan) Tischer and Nick Tischer; sisters, Betsy (the late Nick) Opels, Anne (the late Arnold) Sider and Marie (the late Paul) Wulbecker; and many nieces and nephews.

Nick was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lorraine (Malcolm) James.

Visitation Monday, May 14, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south off Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation 8:30 am, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, until the 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment will be at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
