Nicolae Tudor Danii

Nicolae was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Family was most important to him, and spending time with them was very precious to him. It was for this reason that he and his wife Galina immigrated to the United States in 2010 to be closer to their daughter and granddaughter. Nicolae’s career was devoted to the field of Chemistry. In addition to his work, he was also one of the many heroes who played an important role in the cleanup in the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Nicolae had a wonderful sense of humor, and his many hobbies included woodworking, cooking, gardening, animals, and keeping up with world events, especially in his home country of Moldova.

Nicolae is survived by his wife, Galina Pasecinic; daughter, Marina (Dave Lester) Balan; granddaughter, Carina (Andrew Carr) Balan; and many extended relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tudor; mother, Ioana; brother, Afanasii; and sisters, Lubovi, Eugenia, and Evdokia.

Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment at a later date.
