Our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Pamella M. Davis passed away on January 4, 2019 at the age of 74. She had a love for family and friends and a gift for making people feel special. She was a voracious reader who enjoyed working at Des Plaines Public Library. She was a proud grandmother who cherished caring for her grandson a couple of days a week in his early years. She faced persistent health challenges head on with strength and courage. She had a passion for history, show tunes, and collecting giraffes. She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband, Robert E. Davis. She is survived by her loving daughter Stephanie L. (David) Douglas and cherished grandson Kyle Robert Douglas. Siblings: Debbie (Mark) Haerle, Kurt (Mary) Meyer, Margie Davis, Jenny Davis (late Bud Davis), the late Barbara and Roland Krug, Rosalie Bradley (late Clarence Bradley). She was Aunt to many nieces and nephews and had many treasured friends. Linda and Diana provided continuous love and support. She spoke at least daily to Sue McNeil, lifelong friend and sister of the heart. Preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Beatrice (nee Hora) Meyer and L.J. and Marguerite Davis. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 from 2:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 4:00 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
