Patricia Hurtig was born on August 9, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Dorothy (nee Wilberding) Walsh. She died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates, Illinois of renal failure.

Mrs. Hurtig was employed by Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village for over 42 years. Initially employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the nursery then in the orthopedic ward, later, for over 30 years, she was in IT. Patricia was an amazing baker known for her lemon squares.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jeffrey Hurtig; her sisters, Barbara (John) Boehm, Janet Cochran; her sister-in-laws, Marta (Steven) Brenner, Davita (Mark) Siegel, and Sari Hurtig; and her over 42 nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sara (Donald) Graff.

Visitation from 2:00 pm until time of funeral service at 6:00 pm, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. For those unable to attend the Service a Livestream can be viewed by clicking the link in “Events” below.
