

On November 25, 2023, Patrick Granado passed away in his home in Seattle, WA. He was born February 25, 1981, in Arlington Heights, IL. Patrick is survived by his partner Wendy Kelley, mother, Barbara Granado, father, Stephan Granado, brother, Marcus (Erica) Granado, nephews, Andrew, Alex, and Liam, Aunt Jan, Uncle Rich and Aunt Hansei.
Patrick was an accomplished photographer and gifted music engineer at The Sound Emporium and other studios in Nashville, crediting his success to lifelong mentors Ray Kennedy, Gary Nicholson, Dave Sinko, and Matt Andrews. His career allowed him to work with artists like Delbert McClinton, Glen Clark, Bela Fleck, and Mary Gauthier. Patrick's talent as a music engineer did not go unnoticed as he was the engineer of three Grammy-winning albums. His industry peers have described him as a brilliant talent with a golden ear.
Patrick was a generous and kind soul with a heart as big as the great outdoors. Stemming from his struggles, he was passionate about helping those in need and was an advocate for high-risk teens, veterans, and people experiencing homelessness with substance abuse issues.
In lieu of flowers, the family believes that Patrick would want his advocacy to carry on with donations made to the NAMI - National Alliance of Mental Health (4301 Wilson Blvd., Suite 300 Arlington, VA 22203) and the SAFE Project.US - Stop the Addiction Fatality Epidemic (3118 Washington Blvd, Box #101734 Arlington, VA 22201-9998).
Patrick was a unique and special person who touched the lives of many. He will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and passion for helping others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will take place on January 26, 2024, beginning at 10 am followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11am. The visitation and services will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church,111 W. Olive St., Arlington Hts.,IL 60004
