Paul J. ArndtOf Arlington HeightsPaul J. Arndt was born on May 14, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to Carl and Joan (nee Rezmer) Arndt. He died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at his home.Mr. Arndt was the corporate controller for Great Lakes Electrical Contractors where he was employed for 20 years. He was a 1970 graduate of Lewis University where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. Paul was a volunteer at Midwest Greyhound Adoption, fostering retired racing greyhounds, who were eventually adopted by he and Mary Kay. He was a former Cub Scout and Webelo Leader. He was an avid Cub Bears fan and enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'em.Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary Kay nee Zubcic; his sons, Paul John (Michele) and Stephen Carl (Amy) Arndt; granddaughter Tatum; siblings George, Lawrence (Joanne), and Hilde Blum; his sister-in-law Mary Ellen; and his many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and beloved grand-dogs, Jetta, Cooper, Bentley and Megan;He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl; parents; brother-in-law Peter Blum, and his grand-dog, Tagger.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., Arlington Heights, Illinois and Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois from 9:00 Am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.
