Visitation for Paul S. Smialek, 54, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Stephen Church, 1267 Everett, Des Plaines, for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Paul was a manufacturing engineer. He was the husband of Barbara A. (nee Ostendorf); son of Mary and the late Joseph Smialek; brother of Patricia (Jan) Simonson and Pamela Smialek; and uncle of Emma, Nora and Ian. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and family members.
