Peggy Trost of Des Plaines passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on March 27, 1939, in Charleston, West Virginia to Harry and Genevieve Hooton. Peggy married Roger Trost in 1958 in Des Plaines, IL. She worked for many years as a teller at First Federal. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband and her son, David Trost.
Peggy is survived by, two daughters, Cindy (Steve) Bruns and Mary Ann (Patrick) Merritt; three grandchildren, Cory Trost, David Trost Jr., Kevin Bruns; two great grandchildren, Heaven Trost and Hunter Trost.
A visitation for Peggy will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Memory Gardens Cemetery (2501 E. Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60004). A prayer service will be held immediately following the visitation at the gravesite.
