Peter was born in Chicago on November 24, 1963 to Peter and Alkistis Georgiades.
Peter was happiest when he was surrounded by family. Nothing meant more to him than spending time with the people he loved. Some of his favorite things to do were having family dinners, sitting around the table talking and laughing, and making memories together. He loved taking trips to see his family in Cyprus and traveling with Cindy to visit new places around the world.
Peter was always on the go. If he wasn’t with his family, you could usually find him knocking down walls at work, testing his luck at the casino, or exploring somewhere new. Known as “Skinny Pete,” he was one of the most generous and giving people you could ever meet. He never hesitated to help someone in need and always put others before himself. He cared deeply about his family and friends, and he showed this through his actions. You didn’t need big words to know how much you meant to him. Pete showed his love by being there, by doing for others, and by always making sure the people around him were taken care of. Pete had a big heart, and his kindness, loyalty, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
You could always find Pete in a pocket tee with a lighter, and a pack of Salem Lights. It was a part of who he was. Pete lived his life on his own terms. He worked hard, played hard, and truly made the most of every moment. He had a way of bringing people together and making a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was deeply loved by many and will be remembered most for his big heart, his unforgettable personality, and the love he had for his family. His greatest joy was simply being at home with his wife and kids, the people he loved most.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; his children, Gia (Tim), Andrea (Chris), and Peter (Meredith); and his beloved granddaughter, Isla. He is also survived by his mother, Alkistis, and his sister, Kelly. Pete was a beloved uncle to Michael, Christina, Andreas, and Miranda, and godfather to Becky, Frankie, and Luke.
