Phyllis Ann Finnegan

We wish everyone could have known the beauty and kindness that radiated so naturally from our mother. She was an angel on earth and is surely one in heaven.

Phyllis is survived by her husband James Patrick Finnegan of Bradford, IL. Together they enjoyed 64 years of marital bliss, raising 7 children in Arlington Heights, and living later in Barrington, IL and Naples, FL.

In recent years, our dad selflessly cared for Mom's every need, praying with her and bringing her daily communion as she descended into the confusion of dementia.

Phyllis is survived by 7 adoring children and 25 Grandchildren; Daughter Margaret Ann (Peggy) Finnegan and Mike Donnelly of Pittsburgh and their children Michael Sean, Maura, Ryan and Shannon; Daughter Kathleen Marie and Ed O'Malley of Prospect Heights and their children Jim, Maggie, Maeve and Ryan; Son James Patrick Finnegan Jr. and Marisol of Prospect Heights and their children Brianna, Jimmy and Kiara; Son Joseph Michael Finnegan and Dawn of Arlington Heights and their children Joey, Johnny and Patrick; Daughter Mary Kelly and Bill Cavanagh of Arlington Heights and their children Billy, Meghan and Grace; Daughter Julie Ann and Tim Faulkner of Naperville and their children Seamus, Erin, Teagan and Jack, and Son Daniel Robert Finnegan of Mundelein and his children Emma, Molly, Margie, Danny and Elizabeth.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Marcellus (Bud) Hirsch and mother Agnes, and her sister Jane Rose Hirsch. She is survived by sister Donna Beaven and Brother Ronald Hirsch and their families from Evansville, Indiana where our mom was born and grew up.

Friends will be welcomed Sunday, September 18th, noon to 6:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL.

A funeral mass will be Monday, September 19th at 10:00 am at Transfiguration Church, 316 West Mill St. in Wauconda, Ill.
