Of Buffalo Grove
Randy S. Peters was born on August 12, 1958, in Skokie to Delmes and Joan (nee Whitcomb) Peters. He died Wednesday, June 30, 2021, in Buffalo Grove.
Mr. Peters was a jack of all trades, mostly in the automotive field. His most recent employment being a master coach builder for Lehmann-Peterson in Rolling Meadows for 5 years. Randy had a passion for working on cars and building computers. He took great pride in his home and yard. But most of all he was an avid sports fan and loved all Chicago sports teams, especially the Chicago Blackhawks. “Pit” Martin and Jeremy Roenick were his all time favorite Blackhawks stars. He would often be seen wearing one of his many Chicago Blackhawks hats and t-shirts. His absolute favorite thing was to spend time with his family. He looked forward to Thursday dinners surrounded by the chaos of his children and grandchildren. Through quarantine, even though he couldn’t be with his grandchildren, he would deliver treats and movies to them almost daily so that he could see them in person. Even if just through a door or window. His sense of humor and crazy stories were cherished and will never be forgotten. He was loved by all.
Randy is survived by his spouse of nearly 37 years Angela (nee Kranz); children, Cortney (Benjamin Antao) Peters and Vanessa (Anthony) Fiorito; grandchildren, Lincoln Peters, Michaela and Reyn Fiorito and Deacon Antao; father, Delmes Peters; siblings, Dan Peters, Kathy (Rich) Royster and Jamie (Sharon) Peters; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Peters.
