Richard J. Emerson, 92, of Buffalo Grove, IL was born on March 8, 1933 to the late Robert and Helen (nee Duzmal) Emerson, and passed away at home on July 20, 2025 surrounded by family. Richard was the beloved husband of 63 years to Mary Ann (nee Lesniewski); loving father to Michael (Beth) and David (Diane) Emerson; cherished grandfather to Caitlin (James), Matthew (Jennifer), Thomas, Sarah, Megan, and Claire; fond great grandfather to Sophie and Lucas; and predeceased by his loving siblings; Reverend Robert, Donald (Mary), Kenneth, and Mary Lou (Lowell) Swanson. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the wonderful caretakers who gave him such loving care over the past 3 years. Richard retired from Kraft Foods after 25 years working in the human resources department. He will be missed dearly.
Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM.
