Richard A. Thompson, 84 of Arlington Heights was born August 26, 1931 in Chicago to Albert and Edna (nee Gundersen) Thompson and passed away March 2, 2016. Dick was the beloved husband of Carol A. (nee Manning); loving father of Kevin (Liz) Thompson, Brian (Kim) Thompson, Sean (Dawn) Thompson and Gerald (Patricia “Patsy”) Thompson; cherished grandfather of Michael (Ruben Andrade), Chris, Robbie, Paige, Delaney, Brody, Megan, Bridget, Maeve, Jessica and Lauren; dear brother of Barbara (late Robert) Olson and fond uncle of Jeff (Wendy) Olsen and Greg (Lisa) Olson. Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday, March 7 at 9:15 AM and proceed to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine for funeral mass at 10:00 AM.
