Robert Joseph Glader

Mr. Glader was President and owner of Glader Manufacturing Services, a generations old manufacturing business in Chicago. He was a member of St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church in Palatine. Bob was an avid golfer who enjoyed teaching the game to others. He was also a tireless advocate for the care of his special needs daughter. He enjoyed spending time, and laughing, with family, friends and was loved by all.

Robert is survived by his spouse of 12 years, Nancy (nee Cole); children, Gary (Bonita) Glader, Bill (Sara Furlan) Glader, and Linda Glader; step-children, Scott (LuAnn) Cole, Sue (Scott) Christiansen, Peggy Klingenberg, Bob (Karren) Cole, Jean Michalec, Joe (Sue) Cole, and Tom (Karen) Cole; grandchildren, Rachel (Brandon) Johnson, Max Glader and Michael Glader; 20 step-grandchildren; great-granddaughter, Lillian Johnson; 15 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by first wife, Carol Glader; his parents; siblings, William Glader and Mary (Jack) Marcy.

Visitation Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation 9:00 am, Monday, April 16, 2018 until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Thomas of Villanova, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, IL 60074. Entombment will be at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights.
