Robert “Joe” Johannsen was born November 24, 1928 in Chicago to Christian and Charlotte (nee Nagel) Johannsen. He passed Away April 28, 2018 at his home in Arlington Heights.

Joe’s measure of wealth was in his many distinguished titles; husband (of 67 years), dad, grandpa, great grandpa, uncle, and life-long friend. His humor, his laughter and his genuine interest have warmed the hearts and lifted the spirits of all who were lucky enough to know him. He will be dearly missed!

Joe is survived by his wife Evelyn (nee Wojtkiewicz) Johannsen; his children Tom (Lisa) Johannsen, Sandy Johannsen, Jeff (Dee) Johannsen and Michael (Becky) Johannsen; his grandchildren Scot (Peggy), Megan (Ed), Katie (Hector), John, Bobby, Jonathan, Zoe and Aiden; his great grandchildren Taylor, Jake, Elisa, Aric, Parker, Amber, Lia and Quinn.

Joe is preceded in death by his brother Lyle Johannsen and by his parents.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Fox and Hound Restaurant, 910-918 W Dundee Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
