He died April 8, 2016 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.Bob"s greatest love of his life was his wife, followed closely by his children and grandchildren." Bob was involved in many organizations; well almost any organization or sport that the kids were interested in." You didn"t have to be an actual Kilbourne child by birth to be considered a member of the Kilbourne household on Suffield, it was open to all." Bob"s second love was food"there wasn"t a sandwich he wouldn"t eat and he wasn"t afraid of sharing anything you were eating." Bob died with his boots on." In the end, his last meal was a Dunkin Donut.Robert is survived by his wife Sue (nee Shipacasse) Kilbourne; his children Patrick Kilbourne, Michael (Michelle) Kilbourne, Timothy Kilbourne, Kevin (Jeanette) Kilbourne, Brian (Denise) Kilbourne, Kelly (Daniel) McCall and Megan (Clint) Conzemius; his 25 grandchildren and one great grandchild and by his brother William (late Ruth) Kilbourne.Robert is preceded in death by his sister Carol (Ed) Papierski and by his parents.Memorial visitation Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the time of funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N.
