A presence that was felt throughout the community, Bob left his unique mark on the world in a way only he could. From a young age, Bob developed a passion for anything with an engine, and a will to go his own way in the world. Following his father's footsteps in the tool and die trade at RJ Stuckel Co., he latched onto the industry and became enveloped in solving difficult problems that even the best engineers could not figure out. Eventually, he went his own way as an innovator and inventor. Bob’s special mind led him down a path to personal fulfillment that we all long for.
Being who Bob was, his free time was also unique to him. Whether riding on his unicycle, cruising the streets on a moped, boating on the lakes of Wisconsin, or visiting the local watering holes with his cousins and partner-in-crime brother John, Bob never left any doubt that he enjoyed life. He was a neighborhood handyman and was there to help his loved ones with anything, anytime. His greatest joy was being a father and spending time with his daughters. Together they made memories that will last forever. Bob lived a life that was one of a kind, but it was quintessentially him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on July 21, 1955, in Berwyn, Illinois to the late Robert Stuckel and the late Mary Stuckel (nee Kovich), Bob was the beloved father of Claire Stuckel (Brenden Cabrera) and step-father of Deirdre (David) Landgraf and Lauren (Mark) Schuler. He was also the adored grandfather of Chase and Carter Schuler, and Maeve and William Landgraf; fond brother of Marilyn (Casey) Leung, the late John (Emily) Stuckel, Susan (Ray) Radis, Ann (Bob) Bates, Joan (Steve) Huening, and Lisa Stuckel (Vinny Kane); former spouse and longtime companion of Caryn Stuckel; dear dog dad of the late Napoleon; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bob is now reunited with his brother, John, where they can finally continue their alliance.
The family wishes to acknowledge and thank everyone at Glenview Terrace involved in Bob’s excellent care over this past year. Also, thank you to Guardian Hospice for their kind and patient care of Bob during his final months.
