Robin Ann Glueckert, MD

Born on September 16, 1956 in Berwyn, Illinois, to Suzanne and James Royster, Robin was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Robin attended Arlington High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, graduating in 1974. Robin lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan for many years raising her daughter, Shannon, facing the unique challenges of single parenthood with an unwavering and profound dedication. Robin later returned to Arlington Heights after reconnecting with her high school sweetheart, James Glueckert, whom she married in 2015.

Robin was a dedicated board-certified physician, having first entered the medical field as a pharmacist. She graduated in 1979 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she obtained her doctor of pharmacy. She went on to attend medical school, completing her education at Wayne State University. Robin selflessly devoted her professional life to her patients in a wide range of challenging clinical settings.

A woman of deep and steadfast faith, Robin was a cherished member of Northwest Assembly of God in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Before relocating to Arlington Heights, she was an active member of the Assembly of God community in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she met Saydee and Chenai Bessman, who would become like family to Robin and Shannon. She touched the lives of many with her brilliant mind, generosity, humor, and gregarious, outgoing nature.

Robin is survived by her husband James Glueckert; her daughter, Shannon Elle Royster (Fiancé Edward Hinojos); her step-children, Betsy (Matt) Sniegowski, Katie (Josh) Damjanovic, and Thomas (Taylor) Glueckert; her eight grandchildren, Austin, Tanner, Jaxon, Chase, Emersyn, Olivia, Brooks, and Avery; and her dear friends Saydee and Chenai Bessman. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Suzanne Royster.
