Ronald Peter Kochanski

Ronald P. Kochanski was born on April 12, 1949 in Chicago to Edward and Esther (nee Smokowski) Kochanski. He died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 surrounded by family in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Kochanski worked as an engineer for Motorola in the Northwest Suburbs for 30 years before retiring in 2008. During his 30 years of distinguished service to Motorola, Ronald’s ideas led to five U.S. Patents in telecommunications. He was an avid woodworker and aviation hobbyist. Ronald loved to spend time with his family, especially his children and his four-legged friend, Gizmo, and was loved by all.

Ronald is survived by his spouse of 42 years, Lillian (nee Mader); children, Tiffany Kochanski and Randy Kochanski; and twin sister, Theresa (Joseph) Rapacz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation, Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Arlington Heights Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers, 8:45 am, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
