

Rosalyn “Roz” Kozak Dembek, 77, of Lisle, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 12th, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She is now at peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Roz leaves behind her sister, Debra (Dr. Bruce Johnson); her nephews, Andrew and Trevor (Megan), of whom she is so proud; her sisters-in-law, Barbara, Gail, and Susan; her brothers-in-law, Paul (Chris) and Scott (Alexa); as well as many members of extended family.
Born on April 16th, 1949, Roz grew up in Arlington Heights, Illinois. After graduating high school, she attended I.J. Goldberg School of Nursing at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Her impressive forty-year nursing career began at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where she earned her Nurse Practitioner’s License and practiced until her retirement.
When she wasn’t caring for her patients, Roz was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking. She made frequent trips out West to visit her sister and family, making many special memories in the process. Roz will be forever missed by all whose lives she has touched.
