

Rose Guadagnuolo, nee Pranno, age 95 passed away August 22, 2016. Rose was the dear wife of the late Patrick Guadagnuolo, loving and beloved mother of Rosemarie Guadnolo (John Horvath) , Patricia (William) Dasso and Nancy (Steve) Burbick; joyful grandmother of Alison Dasso, Lauren (Rob) Stalter, Andrew (Margaret) Horvath, Will Dasso, Steven Horvath, Diana (Ronald) Thompson and Stephen Burbick; delighted great-grandmother of Robert, Juliana and Evan; caring aunt to many nieces and nephews; devoted sister of the late Albert (late Sue) Pranno, late Florence (late James) Perri, and late Mary (Paul) Loffredo and fond sister-in-law of and predeceased by Isabelle (Matthew) Demeo, Theresa (Gus) Ponson, Anthony (Emilie) Guadagnuolo and Rose “Babe” (Donald) Rigsbee. Rose was born in Chicago in 1921 to Francesco and Maria (nee Aiello) Pranno, who came to this country from Marano Marchesato, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy. Rose was an enthusiastic employee of the War Bonds office of Chicago in WWII while Pat served in India and Burma. For over 31 years she was a dedicated and respected customer service representative with Allstate Insurance, where she met many good and lasting friends. Rose cherished life, family and travel, especially to Italy. She loved and excelled at cooking (with a boost from Francois Pope), sewing, needlework and other beautiful crafts. Her family thanks the caring staff at Church Creek Assisted Living. We shall miss her deeply and are happy that she is now at peace with God. Visitation will be Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said Friday, August 26 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home and proceed to St. Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for funeral mass at 11:30 AM. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
