Ruth Alice Forster

Ruth Alice Forster, 90, a resident of Arlington Heights, was born November 27, 1932, in Marshfield, WI to Fred and Olive (nee Beidel) Mundt. She passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023, at Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Ruth had a love for the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed taking long walks, golfing and spending time with friends. She was an avid bridge player, and eagerly participated in the Ivy Hill Bridge group for many years. She was an active member of the St. Edna community where she generously volunteered her time with the Doughnut Sunday and Funeral Luncheon committees, and others as the parish needs required. Ruth cherished the friendships and memories she made during her involvement with these organizations.

For many years, she embraced the role of a dedicated homemaker, nurturing her children, Jeff (Linda) Forster, Kim (Bill) Danielson, Bill (Nancy) Forster, Diane (Duane) Wruble, and Paul (Nancy) Forster. Ruth's love extended to her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who always brought her immense joy and happiness. She is also survived by her sisters Joan Finamore and Karen (Fred) Johnson; and her sister-in-law Bev Mundt.

Preceding her in death are her husband, George; her parents; her brother Ken Mundt; her brother-in-law Joe Finamore; and her nephew Mike Finamore.

In honoring Ruth's wishes, a private service will be held.
