A little late, but I did remember April 20 was Aunt Ruth's birthday - I used to go with Mom to buy her a funny card to send.  Hope you all celebrated in your own way.

I've always had a special place in my heart for Aunt Ruth.  She brought out the very best in my mother.  It was a pleasure to watch the two of them laugh, share memories and interact with one another.  Their enjoyment of one another was a lot of fun to watch and was quite enviable.  They they spread contageous joy!  The two of them are finally together again.  Aunt Ruth was always wonderful to me and my sisters when we visited your home on Thanksgiving. We all enjoyed and looked forward to these visits.  These times are precious memories that we can enjoy forever!  I extend my deepest sympathies to all of you.  Ruth was a wonderful, funloving person.  My memories of her are pleasant and positive.  I hope you find some comfort in knowing there many people, including my family, who care and who will always remember her fondly.

I was very sorry to hear about fellow DAR daughter Ruth's passing.  But after such a long illness, I hope she is enjoying paradise.

My memories of Aunt Ruth (and all of you) go back to every Thanksgiving driving down and always getting lost a few blocks from the house.  Always with a sense of humor, Aunt Ruth was a very giving lady.  I always appreciated the similarities between her and my mom, even when they both got in the car and had their seats pushed backwards to the floor and couldn't figure out how to raise them without help!  These and other fond memories will keep her in my heart for years to come.  My heartfelt sympathy to all of the family!

Chris, I'm sorry I never had the opportunity to meet your mom.  From what I've read, I think I can see where your wonderful spirit and love of life comes from!  Aren't we so very fortunate to have had wonderful mothers ... we will keep them in our hearts & thoughts forever.

Jimmy, Chris and Cindy - I have nothing but great memories of my Aunt Ruth (and Uncle Jim).  All of us have a great history.  Condolences to all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well.

Chris, Our thoughts and Love are with you at this most challenging time.  Your Mom will always hold a special place in our hearts.  I am certain there's a bountiful amount of stories you heard from many people and you will cherrish them and relive them forever.  I know that Mary and I had a wondeerful evening with her and your aunt at our first ever Elk's dinner dance.  All we could do was laugh till our stomachs ached and said what a hoot..  She was a lovely lady that seemed to know how to enjoy her life and it showed.
