She died Friday, March 3, 2017, at Northwest Community Hospital - JourneyCare Hospice in Arlington Heights, Illinois.Ruth was a homemaker, devoted wife and mother, and caregiver to many family members and friends in need throughout her life." She was a member of St. Mary's Church Choir, St. James Church Choir, St. Charles Borromeo Church Choir, and the Luther Village Choir." She was a member of the St. Mary's Women's Club and also served as a teacher's aide at St. Mary's Catholic School." She was an avid reader of the Chicago Tribune and lover of all sports especially the Chicago Cubs.Ruth is survived by her children, Roberta (Joseph) Muran, Ronald (Marie) Schreiber, Robert (Laura) Schreiber; her grandchildren, John Schreiber, Bonnie (Justin) Evans, Adam Muran (Cassie Stromayer), Kayla, Emily, Kylee, Kirsten, and Melissa Schreiber; her sisters-in-law, Audrey Dunneback and Loretta Schreiber.She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert C. Schreiber; her sons, Richard and Raymond Schreiber; her siblings, Vera Collins, Norman (the late Dorothy) Brankey, Edward Brankey, and Raymond Brankey.Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, March 6, 2017 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:15 am, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the funeral home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois for Mass at 10:00 am."
