With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our son, brother, and uncle, Ryosuke Suzuki on June 14, 2025, at the age of 42. He will be missed dearly by parents Toshifumi and Ayako, older brother Kensuke, younger sister Naomi, brother-in-law Michael, and nieces Sakura and Momoko. His loss will also be felt deeply by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Japan.
Ryosuke, who spent most of his life in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, was very close with his loving family, enjoying holiday barbecues, and celebrating birthdays at steakhouses. He was an avid traveler, having visited 18 countries and 46 states with family and friends. He played tennis, football, video games, and the violin, and enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Japanese MLB players, along with attending music concerts. He was fluent in Japanese and English and a skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He helped clients with the same firm for 20 years since he graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He maintained his witty sense of humor and kinship with his family as ALS (an incurable terminal illness with no known cause) severely impacted his health for his final three years. Ryosuke received unwavering support and care from his proud parents and siblings who made his last years, months, and days more bearable and full of love. Although Ryosuke’s life was cut short, his fighting spirit, selflessness, and memories will last forever.
A visitation for Ryosuke will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Burial will be private at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights, IL.
