Sally G. Crooker

Sally G. Crooker was born February 15th, 1935, in Allentown, PA to Frederick William and Julia Louise (nee Peters) Genshart; she died on November 11th, 2022, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Sally was a retired homemaker, friend, and neighbor to many, who also worked as a receptionist at an allergist’s office for 17 years, where she befriended patients and co-workers alike. Her friends meant the world to her, and she was diligent at keeping in touch. Her upbeat mood, cheerfulness and infectious “Hello!” will long be remembered. Unfortunately, Sally was plagued by health concerns over the years but rose above them with grace and perseverance; her unwavering optimism was an inspiration to many.

Sally is survived by her sons Robert B. Crooker and James W. (Heidi) Crooker as well as her sister-in-law Carol (late John) Klinestiver. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years W. Brandt Crooker, her parents as well as her brother Donald (Anne) Genshart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 pm @ The Moorings, 811 E. Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 (visitation 1:00 pm); light refreshments will follow.
