Salvatore Thomas Taormina was born on October 3, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to Lawrence and Anna (nee McGee) Taormina. He died Monday, November 29, 2021, at JourneyCare at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Mr. Taormina was a Deputy Sheriff for Cook County for 17 years before retiring in 2006.

Salvatore is survived by his spouse of 55 years, Rhonda nee Ehlert, Son, Larry (Fiancée Juanita Villasana) Taormina, Grandchildren, Maryn Taormina and Abby Villasana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Florence and brother Anthony.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers 9:00 am Friday, December 3, 2021, from the Funeral Home, proceeding to St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mount Prospect, Illinois for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Burial following at All Saints.
