Shannon Kathleen Fischer (née McNamara) entered into Paradise with her Lord Jesus Christ on October 26th, 2026. She was born on March 23rd, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to her loving father and mother, Richard McNamara and Patricia (O'Connell).
She is remembered by her siblings Michael (late Nancy), Peggy, and Daniel (Jeanne). She was the beloved wife of David Fischer and devoted mother of Ted (Cassandra) Fischer. She was adored by her two granddaughters, Rose and Noelle. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews and all her family and friends.
Those who remember her grieve and yet rest in the hope of the resurrection of Shannon's Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Shortly after her birth into this world, Shannon was baptized and adopted into the family of God the Father. In her Baptism, she was clothed in the holiness and sacrifice of Jesus Christ himself.
She lived a life of faith, resting daily in the comfort of Christ's forgiveness and endless mercy. She cherished many friends during her life and was especially devoted to her church family at St. Peter, where she worked as a secretary and as a volunteer in many different capacities. One of her greatest joys was serving God's children with special needs.
Shannon was an avid Chicago sports fan, one of the biggest Cubs and Bears fans you would ever meet. She also loved Paul McCartney and The Beatles. One of her favorite hobbies was scrapbooking with her sister Peggy and traveling with her dear husband, Dave, around the world. Though we all grieve her parting, we rest in joy and peace knowing that Shannon no longer suffers and that she awaits us in glory in the kingdom of heaven.
