Shirley G. Landow (nee Maday) was born on February 12, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Casimer and Monica (nee Marach) Maday. She passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates.

Shirley was a homemaker and her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She also loved gardening in her free time.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 73 years Edwin Landow; children Shirley (Stanley) Dzik, Gary Landow, and Diane (David) Newman; her grandchildren Tricia (Robert) Spadafore, Steven (Chrissy) Dzik, Mark (Jen) Landow, Paul Landow, and Jack Newman; her great-grandchildren Matthew, Ryan and Charlotte Spadafore, Kyle and Sydney Dzik and Riley Landow.

She was preceded in death by her brother Irwin (the late Laverne) Maday; and her parents

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N.Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights and 9:00 am until time of Mass 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
