Shirley Wrobel (Sawyer), 73 of Wheeling, IL passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 28, 2021. Born November 26, 1948, in Chicago, IL, she is predeceased by her late husband Robert Wrobel Sr., of 34 years and her Son Robert “Robbie” Wrobel.

Shirley was a Loving Mother of Ryan Wrobel, Cherished Grandmother of Kyle and Ryanna Wrobel, and Loving Mother-In-Law of Michelle Wrobel and Grandmother of Colin and Katelynn Wrobel

Mrs. Wrobel started working career as a hairdresser. Later she was employed as a teacher’s assistant for the Northbrook School District. Shirley was a long-time resident of Wheeling.

Shirley is survived by her son Ryan Wrobel; her daughter-in-law, Michelle Wrobel; and her grandchildren, Kyle, Ryanna, Colin, and Katelynn Wrobel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wrobel; her son Robert; and her mother and stepfather Gertrude and Fred Kuttritz.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until time of a Funeral Service Celebrating Her Life at 7:00 pm, Monday, January 3, 2022, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Entombment will be private.
