Spencer Bedford Hodgson

Spencer Bedford Hodgson was born August 7, 1941 in Meadville, PA to Norman and Eugenie (nee Bedford) Hodgson. He died December 31, 2018 at JourneyCare Hospice of Barrington.

Spencer worked for United Airlines for 42 years. He thoroughly enjoyed playing golf and bowling. Spencer was an avid collector of watches, clocks, trains and assorted golf and bowling memorabilia. One of his favorite past times was spending time with “The Kids” (cats).

Spencer is survived by his wife Carole (nee Schwake) Hodgson; his daughter Stacy Hodgson-Stern (fiancé Britt Burr); his grandchildren Sawyer and Sayla Stern; his sister Susan Brooks.

Spencer is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral Service at 11:00 am at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Entombment is private.
