Sue Ann Buettner

Sue Ann Buettner was born February 9, 1943 in Chicago to John and Ann Kathryn Palityka. She died November 7, 2020 at home, surrounded by her family.

Sue was a member of The Dorcas Society, Red Hatters and The Poker Club. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, gambling and socializing with family and friends. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school events and activities. Sue was a very proud and doting grandmother. She enjoyed her lifelong friendships and was considered a grandma by many.

Sue is survived by her children Kathryn (Anthony) Kahl and Karen (Dan) Jones; her grandchildren Katelin, Nicholas, Zachary, Ashley, Anthony Jr., Matthew and Sophia; her brother in law Phil Buettner and by many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Anthony Buettner Jr.; her brother Harry Sylvester; her Godson Michael Kemp; her sister in law Judy Roberts and by her parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, from 11:00 am until 1:00 PM. (Capacity limits, PPE requirement, and social distancing in effect). Interment Elm Lawn Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3658 S. Honore St., Chicago, IL 60609.
