Susan R. Gallagher

Of Arlington Heights

Susan R. Gallagher was born on December 7,1951 in Chicago to William and Josephine (nee Lombardi) Muratori. She passed away June 15, 2022 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Susan was a 1972 graduate of St. Anne's School of Nursing in Chicago. Susan worked in the healthcare field for 50 years in the past 40 years at Resurrection Hospital, most recently in the Interventional Radiology Department.

She was a certified member of The American Radiological Nurses Association.

Her interests and hobbies included spending time with her family and friends, gardening in the sunshine, traveling, thoroughbred racing and spending a day at the track.

Susan is survived by her daughters Shannon and Erin; her twin sister Shirley (Jerry) Pawlisz as well as her other siblings Laura (Eduardo) Ramos, Lee (Patricia) Muratori and Paula Muratori; her brother-in-law Patrick (Ellen) Gallagher; her sister-in-law Sharon Gallagher. Susan was a loving aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 45 years Michael H. Gallagher, her parents and her brothers-in-law John and James and sister-in-law Mary-Kate.

Visitation Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home 1520 North Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Mass Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Raymond de Penafort Parish 301 S. I Oka Ave., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Interment will be held privately.
