William F. "Ted" Johnston, 87 of Des Plaines was born May 19, 1930 in Breckenridge, MI to William and Letitia (nee Caskie) Johnston and passed away November 29, 2017. Ted was the beloved husband of Norma L. (nee Hunt) Johnston; loving father of Kim (Daniel) Colegrove, Lynn Garrow and Julie (Steven) Freko; cherished grandfather of 9; great-grandfather of 1 and dear brother of Marg Smith, Tish (John) Skeen and the late Jim Johnston. Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Peter Lutheran Church appreciated.
