Theodore Hsieh

Theodore Hsieh, 75, of Elgin passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015. He was born October 4, 1939 in the Shandong province of China, the son of Rev. Andrew and Mrs. Susie Hsieh. Theodore was a graduate of Trinity College and had Masters degrees from Northern IL University and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School."" He was a professor of psychology at Judson University from 1969 until his retirement in 2013. He was the loving husband of 48 years to Jeanette (Lowe) Hsieh; fond father to children, Matthew and Benjamin Hsieh; and beloved grandfather to Elia, Ava, Adeline, Amarie, and Ian Hsieh. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 AM at The Orchard Evangelical Free Church, 1330 N. Douglas Ave., Arlington Heights. Burial will follow at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-8 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Arlington Heights and on Monday morning at the church from 9:00 AM until the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Ted Hsieh Scholarship Fund at Judson University, 1151 N. State, Elgin.
