Theresa Ann Brya

Theresa is survived by her three children, Kevin (Ally) Devlin, Susan (Joe) Tobolski, and Julie (Joe) Ratzki; her grandchildren, Sean, Kyle, Colin, Alannah, Leah, Dennis, Albert, Margaret, Joseph, Evelyn, Olivia, and Kara; her siblings, Joe (Mindy) Helfer, Mike (Sherry) Helfer, Dave (Cheryl) Helfer, and Kathy (Mike) Knoke; and her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Gene; her parents, Bernard and Evelyn.

Theresa was a very loving and strong woman. After graduating from Champaign High School in 1959, she became a flight attendant for TWA where she discovered her love for traveling. She retired as a flight attendant to get married and raise a family. She was an avid tennis player and loved to spend time with family and friends. She was affectionately known as "Goofy Granny" as she loved to interact with and entertain her grandchildren. She never missed a birthday, school show, sporting event or family function. Her smile and contagious laugh will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held from 2:30-5:00 pm, Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Funeral Mass will be held in her hometown, Champaign, IL at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 405 W Clark St, Champaign, Illinois as well as a visitation prior to the mass at 9:00 am until the time of the start of the Funeral Mass.
